Any licensed preschool, early childhood center, or early learning program in the United States. Both private and public programs are eligible. Individual teachers and directors may also apply for the educator-focused categories.
Applications are reviewed by a panel of early childhood education experts, including experienced directors, educators, and ECE researchers. Reviews are conducted independently and judges are not told the school name during initial review.
Yes โ and we encourage it. Each category is evaluated independently, so a strong program could win multiple awards. Many applicants enter 3โ5 categories. Each category is $25.
Applications close on July 3, 2026. Winners will be announced on August 1, 2026. Late applications cannot be accepted.

Yes. We recognize winners at both the national and regional level, so you're not competing against every school in all 50 states. Regional recognition gives more programs a real chance to be celebrated.
All applicants receive a participation acknowledgment. The application process itself is valuable โ it prompts reflection on your program's strengths and accomplishments. We hope you'll apply again in 2027.
